Terms Of Service
Raintown Dog Training Inc.
This Terms of Service document outlines the policies, expectations, and conditions for services provided by Raintown Dog Training Inc. ("Raintown"). By booking or participating in training sessions, clients (“clients”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. Training Services and Payment
Clients voluntarily engage Raintown Dog Training Inc. for professional dog training services. Full payment is required in advance to reserve a spot in any group class, private session, or training package.
Raintown does not guarantee specific results and is not responsible for the performance of the dog or client during or after the training program.
2. Refunds, Cancellations, and Make-Up Classes
Refund Policy
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the start of any scheduled private session bundle or series of group classes.
A non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from all approved refunds:
$10 for group classes
Up to $45 for private sessions, depending on the amount paid
Missed Classes
Missed group classes are non-refundable.
A make-up class may be available for a $30 fee, depending on availability. Clients must contact Raintown to inquire about available options.
3. Rescheduling Private Sessions
Clients may reschedule one private session with at least 48 hours’ notice. Additional changes or late cancellations will result in the session being forfeited without refund.
4. Behavioral Standards for Group Classes
If a dog exhibits signs of over-arousal, reactivity, or any behavior deemed inappropriate for a group setting, Raintown reserves the right to remove the dog from the class. In such cases:
Remaining group class credits may be applied toward a private session, depending on credit balance and trainer availability.
5. Vaccination Requirements
Clients must ensure that their dog is up to date on core vaccinations, including:
DHPP
Rabies
For Puppy Preschool, Puppy Kindergarten, and Puppy Socials , at least the first round of vaccinations must be completed a minimum of one week prior to attending.
Clients are responsible for providing current vaccination records to Raintown before their first puppy class or social.
6. Training Goals and Guarantees
Raintown commits to providing responsible, evidence-based training and will make every reasonable effort to help clients reach their training goals. However, Raintown makes no guarantees regarding specific behavioral outcomes or results.
7. Liability and Client Responsibility
Clients understand and accept the inherent risks involved in owning and training a dog, including the risk of injury. Clients are solely responsible for their dog's behaviour and actions at all times, and agree to:
Disclose any known bite history or hazardous behaviours.
Update Raintown if these behaviours change.
Clients release and hold harmless Raintown and its trainers from any claims, injuries, damages, or expenses caused by the client’s dog, to themselves or to third parties, except in cases of gross negligence.
Clients acknowledge that dog training involves inherent risks, including injury or death to the dog, and agree that Raintown is not liable for such occurrences except in cases of gross negligence.
Raintown maintains liability insurance for its operations; however, clients remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour and any resulting costs.
8. In-Home Training & Off-Property Authorization
For clients participating in in-home training:
Clients authorize Raintown to enter their home during scheduled training sessions.
Clients also authorize Raintown to take their dog off the property for training purposes during the agreed-upon session times.
9. Emergency Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency, Raintown will seek care from the client’s regular veterinarian if available. If immediate care is needed, Raintown may choose an alternate veterinary provider. All related veterinary costs are the responsibility of the client.
10. Media Release
Clients grant Raintown the right to use photos, videos, and audio recordings of themselves and their dog(s) for training, marketing, and promotional purposes in any media format, without restriction. Clients release all claims related to the use of such materials.
11. Expiration of Sessions
All private sessions and/or classes must be scheduled and completed within three (3) months of the original payment date. Any unused sessions or classes after that time will be forfeited without refund or credit.
12. Entire Agreement
This Terms Of Service document, along with any expressly referenced or signed agreements (such as waivers), represents the full and complete understanding between the client and Raintown Dog Training Inc. for dog walking services.
