Terms Of Service

Raintown Dog Training Inc.

These Terms of Service outline the policies, expectations, and conditions for services provided by Raintown Dog Training Inc. ("Raintown"). By participating in training sessions and/or group classes, the client (“Client”) agrees to the following terms.

1. Training Services and Payment

Client voluntarily engages Raintown for professional dog training services. Full payment is required in advance to reserve a spot in any group class, private session, or training package.

Raintown commits to providing responsible, evidence-based training and will make every reasonable effort to help Client reach their training goals. However, Raintown makes no guarantees regarding specific behavioural outcomes or results and is not responsible for the performance of Client’s dog during or after the training program.

2. Refunds, Cancellations, and Make-Up Classes

Refund Policy

  • Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the start of any scheduled private session bundles, group classes, or puppy social drop-ins.

  • A non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from all approved refunds:

    • $11 for group classes

    • $2 for puppy socials

    • Up to $45 for private sessions, depending on the amount paid

Missed Classes

  • Missed group classes are non-refundable.

  • A make-up class may be available for a $30 fee, depending on availability. Client must contact Raintown to inquire about available options.

3. Rescheduling Private Sessions

Client may reschedule one private session with at least 48 hours’ notice. Additional changes or late cancellations will result in the session being forfeited without refund.

4. Behavioural Standards for Group Classes

If a Client’s dog exhibits signs of over-arousal, reactivity, or any behaviour deemed inappropriate for a group setting, Raintown reserves the right to remove the dog from the class. In such cases, remaining group class credits may be applied toward a private session, depending on credit balance and trainer availability.

5. Vaccination Requirements

Clients must ensure that their dog is up to date on core vaccinations, including:

  • DHPP

  • Rabies

For Puppy Preschool, Puppy Kindergarten, and Puppy Socials , at least the first round of core vaccinations (DHPP) must be completed a minimum of one week prior to attending.

Client is responsible for providing current vaccination records to Raintown before their first puppy class or social.

6. Liability and Client Responsibility

Client understands and accepts the inherent risks involved in owning and training a dog, including the risk of injury or death to the dog or persons. Client is solely responsible for their dog’s behaviour at all times and agrees to disclose any known bite history or hazardous behaviours, and to update Raintown if these behaviours change. Client releases and holds harmless Raintown and its trainers from any claims, injuries, death, damages, or expenses caused by Client’s dog or arising from participation in training, except in cases of gross negligence. While Raintown maintains liability insurance for its operations, Client remains fully responsible for their dog’s actions and any resulting costs.

7. In-Home Training & Off-Property Authorization

For clients participating in in-home training:

  • Client authorizes Raintown to enter their home during scheduled training sessions.

  • Client also authorizes Raintown to take their dog off the property for training purposes during the agreed-upon session times.

8. Emergency Veterinary Care

In the event of a medical emergency, Raintown will seek care from Client’s regular veterinarian if available. If immediate care is needed, Raintown may choose an alternate veterinary provider. All related veterinary costs are the responsibility of Client.

9. Media Release

Client grants Raintown the right to use photos, videos, and audio recordings of themselves and their dog(s) for training, marketing, and promotional purposes in any media format, without restriction. Client releases all claims related to the use of such materials.

10. Expiration of Private Sessions

All private sessions must be scheduled and completed within three (3) months of the original payment date. Any unused sessions after that time will be forfeited without refund or credit.

11. Guests and Accompanying Persons

Client acknowledges and agrees that this waiver and release applies not only to themselves but also to any individual who accompanies them to classes, including, but not limited to, family members, friends, or guests (collectively, “Accompanying Persons”). Client represents and warrants that any Accompanying Persons are aware of and agree to comply with all rules, policies, and assume all risks associated with participation. By attending, all Accompanying Persons are deemed to have accepted the same terms and conditions as the Client.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, along with any expressly referenced or signed agreements (such as waivers), represent the full and complete understanding between Client and Raintown for dog training services.
