Terms of Service
Raintown Dog Training Inc. - Dog Walking Services
This Terms of Service document outlines the policies, expectations, and conditions for dog walking services provided by Raintown Dog Training Inc. (“Raintown”). By booking or participating in our walking services, clients (“clients”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. Services & Payment
At Raintown, we offer two flexible options for dog walking: Subscription Plans and Pay-As-You-Go Walks.
Option A: Subscription Walking Plans
Pricing
Subscription fees begin at $275 (+GST) per month.
Clients will be billed once per month for their dog walking subscription.
What’s Included
Weekly walk(s) on set, recurring days.
Multiple walks per-week plans are available.
Your dog will receive a private one-hour walk, with walkers operating on a 30-minute arrival window around the scheduled time to accommodate traffic, weather, and logistical factors.
Holidays & Closures
We take long weekends off, as well as two weeks off during December.
Cancellation
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with at least 30 days’ written notice (email is acceptable).
Walks will continue through the 30-day notice period, and billing will stop after that.
Missed or unused walks during the notice period are non-refundable.
No refunds are issued for unused walks, cancellations, or early termination once the monthly billing period has begun.
Walks within the monthly plan cannot be carried over to the next month.
Pause Option
Clients may pause their subscription up to two times per calendar year, for a maximum of four weeks per pause.
A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required before the pause begins.
A $25 pause fee per week applies to hold your spot and ensure your regular walking schedule resumes.
Walks and billing will automatically resume after the pause unless Raintown is notified otherwise.
Option B: Pay-As-You-Go Walks
Pricing
Single Walks ($75/walk) – book as needed.
3-Pack Walks ($68/walk) – discounted bundle for clients who want savings without a regular schedule.
5-Pack Walks ($65/walk) – the best value for flexible users who still want multiple walks.
What’s Included
Packs can be used at any time and do not require fixed weekly scheduling.
Your dog will receive a private one-hour walk, with walkers operating on a 30-minute arrival window around the scheduled time to accommodate traffic, weather, and logistical factors.
Policies
Walks must be booked individually and are subject to availability.
Walk packs are non-refundable.
Walks in a pack must be used within 3 months of purchase.
Holidays & Closures
We take long weekends off, as well as two weeks off during December.
2. Access & Home Entry
Clients authorize Raintown to enter their home during scheduled walks.
Clients also authorize Raintown to take their dog off the property for walking purposes during the agreed-upon walk times.
Clients must provide clear instructions for safe home entry (keys, codes, or other).
Raintown will lock and secure the home at the end of each visit.
3. Gear & Safety
All dogs must wear a well-fitting collar and harness with secure ID tags and must be walked on a non-retractable leash.
Raintown is a force-free company and will not walk dogs using aversive gear, including shock, choke, prong, or slip collars.
Raintown may opt to use their own leash and/or other gear to safely walk a dog if needed.
If unsafe gear, health, or behaviour makes the walk unmanageable, Raintown reserves the right to pause or end the walk.
4. Feeding & Treats
Unless the client has explicitly instructed otherwise, Raintown may offer treats or feed the dog during walks using the client’s provided food and/or Raintown’s own treats.
Clients are responsible for notifying Raintown of any dietary restrictions, allergies, or food sensitivities.
5. Vaccination Requirements
Dogs must be up to date on core vaccinations, including Rabies and DHPP.
Proof of vaccination may be requested before services begin.
6. Weather & Adjustments
Walks occur in most weather conditions.
In cases of extreme heat, cold, storms, or poor air quality, Raintown may shorten or reschedule walks.
Clients will be notified of any adjustments.
7. Emergencies & Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency, Raintown will attempt to contact the client immediately.
If urgent care is required and the client cannot be reached, Raintown may transport the dog to the client’s veterinarian or the nearest available clinic.
All veterinary costs are the sole responsibility of the client.
8. Media Release
Raintown may take photos or videos of dogs during walks for use on social media, marketing, or training materials.
If clients prefer that images of their dog not be shared, they must notify Raintown in writing.
9. Liability & Client Responsibility
Clients acknowledge the inherent risks of walking dogs in public spaces.
Clients agree to:
Disclose any relevant behavior issues (e.g., reactivity, aggression).
Ensure their dog has appropriate ID and is in good health.
Notify Raintown of any health concerns, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions.
Clients release and hold harmless Raintown and its team from any and all liability for injury, death, or damages caused by their dog to people, other animals, or property.
Clients acknowledge that dog walking involves inherent risks, including injury or death to the dog, and agree that Raintown is not liable for such occurrences except in cases of gross negligence.
Raintown maintains liability insurance for its operations; however, clients remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour and any resulting costs.
10. Entire Agreement
This Terms of Service document, along with any expressly referenced or signed agreements (such as waivers), represents the full and complete understanding between the client and Raintown Dog Training Inc. for dog walking services.
